February in New Orleans not what you think.
OK, your right. Food, fun, food, music, food, drinks... oh yeah and a real Mardi Gras parade right in front of our BnB.
New Orleans is one of my favorite places in the world. The people are great, the nightlife is great and my god the food...
This kid just wanted to play guitar...
The people...
Little known tradition, if you pin money on your shirt the locals know that it is your birthday and they will help you celebrate by handing you more money. Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife!!!
She got money and a Happy Birthday serenade!!!!
How can I forget to show you the wildlife...
Still part of the wildlife. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
Birthday girl!!!
Thanks to the great folks at The Balcony Guest House for showing us what it really means to be a New Orleanian! (I think I just made that word up)
Zak and Nas, your the best!! See you both very soon.

Thanks to some dear friends who decided to get married in one of the most beautiful places on earth I was able to meet Andraos. Thanks, Michelle and Greg. Athens and Santorini offered up some great visuals. The colors, the food and of course the wonderful, kind hearted and beautiful people. I saw Andraos' cart the night before and then turned around and it was gone. Luckily I returned the next day and there he was. He looked a little cross when I first approached but I merely had to offer my hand to say "hi" and he just open up. I found out about his brother who lived in the states for a spell. I found out about his love of Elvis Presley.
Last year, today, my wife and I took off for New York City... I know right. Here are a few shots of
our visit.
